An award winning radio presenter, playwright, performer and PR consultant based in London, Yasmeen is passionate about creativity. Be it tackling late night radio phone, a topical debate or a one-to-one emotional interview, Yasmeen loves life behind the mic. Alongside hundreds of hours of live programming on national and local radio, she presents documentaries on BBC Radio 4 across a wide variety of topics.

A big believer in the power of theatre and herself an established playwright, Yasmeen's work has been produced nationally, with a specialism in comedy-drama. She regularly hosts Q&As and panel discussions at theatres including The National. Her current writing includes development for two new plays. Her first episode of EastEnders aired in Feb 2019. 

As a actor, she can currently be seen as series regular 'Ameera' on Cbeebies 'Apple Tree House'.

Yasmeen is passionate about diversity in the arts and created and curates her own night of new writing and performance, The Rehearsal Room Presents, to give other artists a platform.

She has been a cultural consultant to BBC EastEnders since 2009, advising on the 'Ahmed' family stories.
